When Stephanie first contacted us about photographing their wedding over a year ago we had to let her know we were already booked for another wedding. It was much to our surprise when she contacted us back saying that she was considering changing her date, but wanted to see if we were available first. Luckily we were and the rest is history! We met up last Fall for a fun, creative engagement photoshoot at a movie theatre and an autumn farm complete with a corn maze and hay ride. Stephanie and Mathew are such easy going, friendly people. We knew their wedding day would be fantastic.
We love ourselves a vintage themed wedding and Stephanie and Mathew created such a sweet and beautiful wedding day full of vintage cuteness and charm. Stephanie is super creative and scoured high and low for the best details for her wedding. We especially loved the vintage blue Ball glass mason jars (which is adorable since her last name is Ball), colourful depression glass teacups and saucers, retro cake topper, and fun candy table. Everything was beautiful and meaningful, even the glass windows used for the table seating cards were from Stephanie’s parents cabin.
Stephanie is starting her first year as a teacher this September and we loved how she wanted to infuse a school theme into the photos. She purchased a vintage school desk and we finally got to use the awesome heritage yellow and brick school buildings at the end of the street we live on for the First Look before the wedding. We totally love the vintage school theme and with all the kiddos young and old alike starting a new year of school it’s the perfect time of year for these photos!
Summerhill Winery provided the perfect vineyard location for their ceremony and we had an awesome time hanging out with their super fun family and friends throughout the night. Stephanie is so ridiculously adorable, gorgeous, and has a great sense of style – what more could photographers want? She’s a self proclaimed “cry baby” and was tearing up throughout the day which was so sweet and heartwarming. Stephanie and Mathew – you guys are quite possibly the sweetest people we’ve ever met! Thank you so much for including us in your amazing day. We are so honoured and had a great time hanging out with y’all. Congratulations!!!
We loved how the wedding party played up their high school personas on the shoot with Stephanie acting as their teacher.
