Living in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Breanna and Al are planning their destination wedding in Kelowna this August at some pretty amazing venues: Summerhill Winery and the historic Laurel Packinghouse . For their engagement photoshoot, we took them to one of our favourite places in the Okanagan Valley, Okanagan Centre in Lake Country. It truly is a teeny tiny gem home to wineries and orchards and little else, which in our minds, preserves the charm and beauty of this area. We are incredibly grateful to have been granted permission to photograph at the spectacular Dorenberg Orchards which grows ambrosia, gala, and sunrise apples as well as grapes for the nearby Grey Monk winery. Thank you Marc for your hospitality!!!
When we pulled up to the orchard it was pouring rain, but within 5 minutes it was gone and didn’t come back until right after we finished the shoot. Talk about luck! After the orchards, we traveled down to the lake and made use of the serene waters. Breanna and Al are such warm, light-hearted, and fun people – we had a great time with them and can’t wait to photograph their upcoming wedding in August!!!
And for a little behind the scenes fun – here I am captured by my talented wife, photographing the lovely Breanna & Al (yes, that is a huge grin behind the camera), as well as the happy couple with the owner, Marc, of the very beautiful Dorenberg Orchards in Okanagan Centre!
