We met Ashlea and Trevor for the first time back in May when we photographed their engagement session which you can view here. They are super-fun, sweet, and have great style to boot. Since Ashlea and Trevor are from Calgary, this was a destination wedding; however, a large amount of their guests at the wedding were from even farther away – Newfoundland! Trevor is from Newfoundland and they incorporated a few traditions into their wedding. OK, we’re kinda in love with the East Coast of Canada and have been itching to check out “The Rock,” so we super excited when we found this out.
To start the wedding day off, Trevor, his groomsmen, father, and soon-to-be father-in law headed over to Plan B for straight razor shaves rockin’ out to Trevor’s favourite heavy metal music. Ashlea and Trevor both got ready at the stunning lakeside Mission Shores. We loved Ashlea’s vintage inspired dress with yards of tulle and birdcage hairpiece – so classic. They had beautiful hot Okanagan weather for their wedding and as always, Summerhill Winery boasted spectacular lake views. Paying homage to Trevor’s Newfoundland roots, during the reception guests had to kiss a fish in order for the couple to kiss which was super hilarious. This was our first time seeing this – ever. It kept everyone laughing the whole night.
