Ponderosa Point was the most fitting and special place to celebrate Joan and Leon’s wedding because Joan and her family has been coming here EVERY summer for over the past 25 years!!! We love family traditions like that! As soon as you step onto the property that juts out into Skaha Lake in the little sleepy town of Kaleden (just south of Penticton), you can’t help but be transported to a simpler, less stressed time. The cabins scattered among the property are all privately owned and take you right back to childhood summertime memories.

Joan and Leon’s main objective for their wedding was for themselves and all their family and friends to have fun and they definitely achieved it. When we arrived, tons of guests were lounging and chilling out on the beach while the wedding ceremony and reception sites were being setup – so different than the typical wedding venue! After Joan and Leon got ready, we headed to the historic Kaleden Hotel which is just up the road to photograph their First Look before the ceremony. Following their stunning outdoor ceremony with the picturesque Skaha Lake in the background, we headed off around Ponderosa Point for some more photos. Joan and Leon even took a little row boat out into the lake – so brave!

Lots of friends and family came together to make this wedding super personal and memorable from Joan’s Aunt making all the florals to Leon’s sister playing Ukulele music and singing during the ceremony. Thanks Joan & Leon for having us document and be part of your AMAZING day! Congratulations!!!
