We first photographed Amanda and Josh way back in 2011 when we shot their desert inspired engagement shoot in Kelowna which you can view here. We loved these images and one of them was published in Real Weddings Magazine Spring/Summer 2012 issue. On June 16th, 2012 we photographed Amanda & Josh’s beautiful wedding in Kelowna which Wedding Bells recently published on their blog which you can view here. When they contacted us this summer about a Trash the Dress/1st Anniversary photoshoot down at White Rock beach, we were over the top excited. We were both born in White Rock and nothing beats the fresh ocean air and expansive horizon of the coast.
Since we wanted to take advantage of the low tide, we met bright and early at 6am for sunrise. Holy moly, we were so blown away by the amazing light! The reward was well worth heading down to the beach in darkness. Amanda and Josh braved the cold late September morning and were barefoot and in the chilly ocean water. You would never guess by the images that it was this cold, so good job you two for keeping relaxed throughout the shoot! They had quite the crowd of onlookers from the wharf during the whole shoot – people were definitely intrigued and amazed at us venturing out into the water.
